Anyone wear these? Are they really comfy?

Anyone know where I can get them cheaper than £50 (think I've no chance but I have to ask)

And lastly, how does the sizing come up - I had a pair of DM boots many years ago which I had to get in a 3 although I'm usually a four, but seem to remember a pair of DM shoes I had were my normal size.

Thanks

Oh, don't get me started on these! If you can find a pair of the old UK made mjs, they're lovely. Heavy but well made and very sturdy.

However, I bought a pair back in February. Got them from a UK website but made in the new dm factory overseas. And they're shite. Thin, cheap leather with a thin, cheap sole, and they rub my feet really badly.

I am a size 6.5 (40) but always used to get a size 6 in dms as they were quite roomy. Bought these in a 7 (41) by accident and tbh they only just fit.

Check the soles - if they are heavy and stamped with made in england, they should be good. But the new ones are rubbish IMO, and so not worth £50.

oh thanks for the advice badhair. I picked on these as if I am to spend £50 on a pair of shoes they need to last me a good few years

I have to buy them online too - so I will perhaps get them from the DM site. On the photo I looked at on there they certainly seemed to have a big thick sole.

Yours do look like they might be better than mine . I still wear them, as for that price I'm determined to get use out of them, but I can't see them going on forever like the black pair I'm wearing today (and have been wearing for over 10 summers now).

Miaou · 24/06/2006 15:12

Ah, thanks for the link. Yes I specifically picked the other ones for their thick soles. Can't tell if they are made in England though!

I'd order them, try them, and if they feel thin and flimsy, send them back. But only if they do free returns!

Jbck · 24/06/2006 16:42

Try here they look the same & a bit cheaper. I loved mine when I had them but they were more like these .

kalex · 24/06/2006 17:09

I have these, still wearing them 10 years on! Well worth every penny

Miaou · 24/06/2006 17:16

Which ones, kalex, the ones in jbcs' first link?

OP posts:
kalex · 24/06/2006 17:43

The second link that Jcbk did, only they have a pattern cut out of the front, TRuly my favourite shoes, look really good with jeans which is good as thats all I wear
