Never really bothered with his room, we painted it winnie the pooh when we moved in the house, bought him a wardrobe, then a nearly matching cot, but as the house is rented we didn't put a lot of effort in (chest of drawers and bedside table shocking second-hand falling apart items)

Moving him into a bigger bedroom this week (same house just moving around) which is decorated winnie the pooh just a different colour, but don't really want to buy any special bedding or curtains etc till we move as we will be eventually moving and we'd rather 'theme' his room when he gets a new permanent one.

However he has a new (big boy!) bed coming, a wardrobe and chest of drawers (all matching), plus bedguard, duvet set etc etc.

What else shall we get him? We want to spoil him a bit and make his room really feel like home before the new baby comes, it's occured to me we need a bedside table and lamp and possibly a bookcase as we all love late night cuddles and stories... what is the loveliest bit of your 2/3 yos room??

A fun rug to go on the floor that he can sit and play on -its something you can take with you when you move too.

In fact if you know the theme you'll use in the new house you can get the transferable stuff like lamp, lightshade, bedding, cushions and rugs now.

Or how about a bed canopy/tent?
