Stylish high chairs

Is anyone else as fussy about design as I am?? I move house in three weeks & the kitchen has a very stylish breakfast bar as opposed to a dining table. I am looking for a sturdy, stylish seat for my toddler & a highchair for my baby. Would like them to corodinate with each other & the kitchens design - black, chrome or cream. Any ideas anyone?? Tripp Trapp aren't high enough for a breakfast bar. Shame x

Darling, if it's high design you're after, rip out the breakfast bar - this is what you're after. A snip at a mere $8,500 (plus p&p)
I bought a Kuster in an impressionable moment - looks nice, but it's rubbish, despite Urchin's desription of it as, ahem, 'practical'. Frankly, I'd just go for an Ikea one.

Interesting idea aelita. Pmsl at the 'Crypton' fabric - as used by Superman?

Or maybe the designers are fans of 80's tv gameshows, hence the Crypton Factor-esque complexity of the bloody thing. The family that attempts to eat together....

If money were no object I think I'd buy one just to piss DH off. His fury at the Kuster was a sight to behold. I buy the high-design objects, he has to assemble them!

Seems like I opened a can of worms - or organic spagetti, which ever you prefer!! Thought there would be heaps of mums out there like me. Don't see the problem in wanting a piece of furniture to look good & be practical?? I have plenty of 'kids' stuff adorning my house & so many sick stains on my vest tops, that they look tie dyed. Just want my fancy new kitchen to look fancy - its not much to ask. Some great links - really like the 'ear trumpet' & the boon too, haven't looked at the price tag though. Dilemma now is - I want that bag too!! Something STYLISH to put the baby wipes in. God, I am a terrible, shallow, niave oh & not forgetting, gullible person .
