Stylish high chairs

Is anyone else as fussy about design as I am?? I move house in three weeks & the kitchen has a very stylish breakfast bar as opposed to a dining table. I am looking for a sturdy, stylish seat for my toddler & a highchair for my baby. Would like them to corodinate with each other & the kitchens design - black, chrome or cream. Any ideas anyone?? Tripp Trapp aren't high enough for a breakfast bar. Shame x

I think you're going to struggle to find any high enough for a breakfast bar.

WelshBoris · 21/06/2006 12:41

it will not be stylish after 40 bowls of carrot puree
and several piles of vomit

On the plus side, that expensive one doesn't appear to have any corners for sick to hide in.

Think this chair is for celebrity yummy mummies and architect types - have never seen one in real life in any of the baby shops - then again I probably don't live in the right places

But I wanna be a celeb mummy - am loving the mozzee. Loving it. Thanks for all suggestions. Am pretty certain my stat mat pay will not stretch as far as to purchase two mozzees. Will try the ever faithful ebay, but reckon its too stylish for that. Not keen on the ikea one. Won't give up - there has got to be more out there. Vomit & veggies ae so much easier to deal with if they co-ordinate with the kitchen!!! Need to get real - I know, but I like the bubble I live in.

cod is right; also that mozzie looks like a toilet on legs.

Enid · 21/06/2006 14:05

agree with cod [sigh emoticon]

we have the ikea antilop and it is brilliant (I think stylish too but then I also think my Fiat Multipla is stylish )

I got a funky padded seat cushion from Urchin for it when they were babies

Enid · 21/06/2006 14:07

anyway true stylish highchairs are vintage 1960's ones with bunny transfers like the one my mate has got, it is sooooooooooooo cool

Enid · 21/06/2006 14:08

i actually do like that ridiculously expensive one but couldn't live with myself if I bought one and also would secretly scoff if anyone I knew had one

would mark them down as unable to cope with the sharp end of parenting

JoolsToo · 21/06/2006 14:09

'stylish' highchairs?

oh please! highchairs are functional and are frequently spattered in regurgitated food, who cares what they look like? Just get one that does the job and is easy to clean.

QueenPeaHead · 21/06/2006 14:10

I think the ikea antilop is pretty stylish too

must say I don't think I can be so kind about the multipla. sorry enid

Enid · 21/06/2006 14:11

dont worry not many can

QueenPeaHead · 21/06/2006 14:12

buy the antilop, and with the money you save from not bying the mozzee, get this unbelieveably cool bag instead

I am the queen of shopping

Kelly1978 · 21/06/2006 14:14

that bag is gorgeous
