Stylish high chairs

Is anyone else as fussy about design as I am?? I move house in three weeks & the kitchen has a very stylish breakfast bar as opposed to a dining table. I am looking for a sturdy, stylish seat for my toddler & a highchair for my baby. Would like them to corodinate with each other & the kitchens design - black, chrome or cream. Any ideas anyone?? Tripp Trapp aren't high enough for a breakfast bar. Shame x

LucyCampCat · 21/06/2006 14:21

verrry nice though.

QueenPeaHead · 21/06/2006 14:22

it is beautiful but OMG £1250!!

can't even say "oh well, maybe it will be half price in the sales". poo

I was trying to persuade my nanny to get married in this dress - even offered to pay half - but it was too expensive for her. we have the photo up in the kitchen and just sigh at it. she is a small size 8 with great shoulders and would have looked FANTASTIC in it!

JoolsToo · 21/06/2006 14:24

I'll bet it weighs a ton!

beautiful though.

LucyCampCat · 21/06/2006 14:25

Bllcks to fashionable - once it's had weetabix/pasta sauce/spaghetti/yoghurt/custard down it it's going to look like you nicked it off a skip anyway

MrsBadger · 21/06/2006 14:49

In response to the original post...

I think this may be the chair you're looking for, or possibly this one. Both are height adjustable so may reach up to breakfast bar level if you're lucky, and the latter has a pneumatic thingy like hairdressers' chairs.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, you could just put a Handysitt on a regular breakfast bar chair and/or use this type of thing for the tiny.

Or if you do want go for the Antilop or similar but it's not high enough for the breakfast bar, try a Babytall (scroll down to the bottom of the page.

I reckon highchairs, like buggies are becoming style items too so I reckon if you bought a stylish one today - in 5 years time, it'll just look dated.

The marketers have a lot to answer for - when did our babies start becoming fashion statements?

MrsBadger · 21/06/2006 15:23

JoolsToo · 21/06/2006 15:34
