****HELP**** I NEED 6 removable slip covers for my dining room chairs, need them to be delivered BEFORE Saturday !

Got IL's coming on Saturday and our fabric dining chairs have been massacred by the kids. They were originally in our dining room and used for Sunday lunch etc (ate at the easier to keep clean kitchen table and chairs), but when we have moved house we put the dining suite in the kitchen, so now we are eating 2/3 meals a day on them. Consequently, they are looking a little battle-scarred.

I need some (6) cheap (ish) slipcovers that will give the chairs a face lift and I can also put in the washing machine. Something similar to \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1204001.htm\this} would be fine (is out of stock online and in all my local branches). It is just to perk them up until DH's July bonus comes in and we replace the entire suite for something with a cpl more chairs and also easier to clean (waffle fabric is an unholy nightmare....).

BTW, I have tried to clean them up, they come up ok, but not quite good enough.

So, in summary...

  • Neutral
  • 6 of
  • Machine Washable
  • In stock and delivery BEFORE this weekend.

Cheers Smile

Do the seat cushions come off?

If so get some fabric and an upholstery stapler and staple some new fabric on

NomDePlume · 19/06/2006 12:37

No, the back and the seat are fully upholstered, with just the legs exposed at the bottom. Very similar in style to \link{http://www.marksandspencer.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=8032&Product_Id=1619665\these}.

NomDePlume · 19/06/2006 12:40

No, I'm a crap seamstress, and tbh, I don't have the time between now and then to make them even if I borrowed a machine.... Blush

you can hire them from any table linen hire place, most deliver next day. try colouredlinenhire.co.uk or google for someone in your area.

that would easiest IMO!

NomDePlume · 19/06/2006 19:18

If I find myself in the same cover-less position on Thurs then hiring them may be my only option, PPH.
