Hug-It? Snugsit?

Are they similar products, or do they do the same thing?

DS (19mths) can now escape from this car seat and pushchair by getting his arms out of the straps and wriggling (he is in tight enough, he's like a squirmy worm!), so I need something I know will keep him in.

Any one any experience?

Have a hug-it (like a big plastic paper clip...) - is the 'snugit' the material one? - think kids can undo them. Hug-it is pretty good as long as they don't arch their back to get a bit of room...

Yeah bd the shugsit is the material one. I had read on here about some houdinis (sp?) who can escape from them.

Is the hug-it fairly easy to use? Do you use it just on your car seat or your pushchair too?

Only use it in the car - ds is okay in a buggy and I'm not sure it would work on buggy straps - idea is you hold the two straps together and then slip the hug it on them. Then you clip the straps into the base bit and then tighten as usual. To take off you twsit it....(takes a couple of goes to it it right). Idea is it pulls the two shoulder straps together and thus they can't wiggle out...
