When I was a child I had a big white wooden seagull that was suspended from the ceiling and had a cord you could pull to make his wings flap up and down - does anyone know if you can still get these...and if so, where? I have found a similar one at www.woodandtoys.co.uk but unfortunately it lacks the movement element and am desperate for ds to experience the the flapping part.

I have seen them so many times, but can't remember where! Definitively still around!

She can't have got bored and wandered off - it only took us half an hour.

Aero · 16/06/2006 21:16

lol Grin Thought that was a fairly efficient service myself. Wink

SoupDragon · 16/06/2006 21:17

Ignoring the inital delay, it was under 4 minutes.

Ellaroo · 16/06/2006 21:45

Thank you, thank you!!! Had indeed gone away and expected to return to no replies and to remain seagullless. However, huge thanks and the prize goes to Soupdragon - that is exactly like the one I had as a child. My only disappointment is that you managed in four minutes what has taken me nearly four hours to not achieve! Thank you - cannot wait to see ds's face when it arrives.

I bet he's not impressed...! They never are when you're very excited about something :o

Ellaroo · 16/06/2006 21:50

Yes, will probably cry and be scared of it...but thank you anyway.
