Anyone tried the real thing?
I have bought 2 sets of the cheap imitations[different makes] and they have both broken after 6 -9 mths. If I save and shell out for the real maccoy are they going to last???

If you mean the Bumbo seat, ours lasted fine and DS's nursery use them (so they get a lot of use) and have never had a problem. Which bit of your imitations broke?

Oh, those -- I don't think I knew they had a name. They've always just been "those really cool stools that I can't afford". They are lovely, aren't they?

Sorry I haven't been more help (but at least I know now not to buy the cheap imitations, which I probably would have done sooner or later).

Do you have Au Naturale over there? (Im in NI) My friend bought hers in there over a year ago and has three boys from 9 to 14 yrs old - they seem fine (I sat on one last night for a few hours!) Saw them recently for £30 - dd loves them
