Ok in keeping with the recent car seat questions??

I have a nissan primera,in the back theres 2 full seat belts and a lap belt,i have 3 kids but am a single parent anyway so usually have ds1, who is very autistic and needs a close eye ,in the front with me,but.......
On the rare occasion i do have ampther adult in the car one of the kids has to wear the lap belt in the back seat,i am so not very happy with this at all so my question is can i have it taken out and a full 3 point seat belt put in in its place? Does anyone know if,where and how much it would cost to have this done??

Is there any reason the adult can't use the lap belt?

(I know that there are companies that fit 3point belts, but don't know anything about it.)

Britax do (or used to do) a device to fit across the lap of a child using only a lap belt, designed to spread the force in case of an accident.

We have a Nissan Primera like yours Loobie. I would honestly ask at your local Nissan dealer to see what could be done.
I also wonder if the costs could be applied for under some kind of grant for your ds1 if he is profoundly autistic...

Butterfly that thing looks excellent,the extra adult cant use the lap belt in the middle as they dont fit,i have 2 child seats in the back either side so an adults botty dont fit in between .
The thingy you have linked to butterfly doesnt have any details about where to purchase it or how much or anything actually apart form the piccie!

Loobie, the new law says that ALL children must have adaquet (SP?) child seat, am i right in assuming then that u put a child in the centre without a proper seat just the lap belt? I would just not give the other adult a lift.

Also, we asked about a 3rd 3 point seat for our Daewoo Tacuma, the seat is only a half seat and they only fit them to standard size seats

The child that goes in the lap belt if i have anopther adult with me is tall enough to be outside the new car seat laws !He is 5 feet tall so although when he sits in the front i make him sit on the booster he is actually tall enough to go without.
