decorating dilemma - nice wallpaper required for nursery!

I am expecting no.2 in september (it's aboy ) and we need to decorate his room but I can't find any decent wallpaper anywhere.
DS1 has Cath Kidstons cowboy wallapaper in his room and he loves it as well as mummy not finding it too offensive!
I was hoping to do the nursery in a sea side theme - maybe with boats or fish or something, but I can't find anything decent that's not either really insipid pastel shades or really tacky.
Any ideas?

I've always had trouble finding nice wallpaper - hence all my walls are painted!
How about painting them and adding graphics from Blik or somewhere? I particularly like the seagulls on \link{http://www.whatisblik.com/sg.html\this} page, or the aeroplanes on \link{http://www.whatisblik.com/blikids.html\this} one.

Or Designer's Guild is always worth a bash - they had a lovely one of yellow boats on white a couple of years ago.

Thanks - like the Blik stuff - that's a new one to me!
Will try designers guild

No, BBC Good Homes. "sea world" or "explorers" by Malabar but they're £49 per m!!

Except it's fabric rather than wallpaper! I didn't read the article properly :o Sorry!

Mabel, I had terrible trouble finding a pirate them/seaside theme. I ended up importing paper and border from USA!

Couldnt find a thing in the UK. Next did a pirate ship border but have been out of stock and totally unhelpful as to whether they will replenish stock. Laura Ashley have bed linen but nothing for the walls. So had to resort to states. Remember the prices are quoted in $, basically half the figure and you will have approx cost in £.

\link{http://www.wallpaperdirect.co.uk/closeup.php?rowid=774\this} is pretty nice and not too bland colour-wise

Laura Ashley don't have wallpaper, as tena found, but their \link{http://www.lauraashley.com/invt/3267697&bklist=\boat frieze} is lovely.

mabel1973 · 14/06/2006 15:48
