Lost service book

Help! We're supposed to be trading our car in tomorrow for a new one and can't find the folder containing our old car's service history. I haven't seen it since its last service last year.

Anyone know how much value it adds to the car? Any ideas what we can do??

No idea but I'm in a similar situation, can you tell me how you got on please?

It depends on the age of the car - how old is it?

It could make a difference in a private sale, but not so much on a part ex. Has the dealer already given you a price, is it all confirmed/signed? Was the part ex value on the condition of providing SH?

Personally I'd just hand the keys over, pick up the new one and drive off. The dealer is probably more concerned about the deal on your new car, rather than if the service book is in the glove box - they might be sending it straight to auction anyway.
