Do you know what I mean, a little seat that fits on top of a pram so the young baby is laying in the pram and toddler has a great view.

I looked into these. Silvercross do them for their prams - they often come up on ebay. The only thing is, I'm not sure a normal pram (i.e. a non silver cross coach-built one) would be strong enough. I emailed the manufacturer of my pram but they were less than helpful so i got a normal double buggy in the end.

Do a search on ebay for "toddler seat pram" (or toddler seat Silver cross) anyway - and don't take any notice if the ad says "rare" - they're not: I was bidding on at least 3 before deciding against it.

I think you can also get them for emmaljunga prams what make is yours? I also looked into it and ended up getting double buggy!

how old is your toddler - old enough for a buggy board or do they still need a seat??
it is another option

hi thats what i use for my 3 and a half year old getting heavy now so doesnt use it all the time but me and the knows when he on there curbs can be a pain but then i dont think a 3 year old is suppose to be for these seats im too soft i think soon as she getting ill put her on the pram seat yes they are handy
but make sure you have the seat as near as the hood as possible if too near handle the pram will tip then again i suppose its down to what sort silvercross you got all the best with it still you cant beat these old prams i dont think

marmet · 09/02/2004 11:24

sorry last meassage didnt make sence
i meant to say soon as she gets tired ill put her on the pram seat but mine does go down a bit on the suspension with her weight but dont let go of the handle and allways put reins on them and put seat near hood as possible mine is old 1 and has had bit of a hard life i think....but these silvercross old girls do keep on going and if your prams like mine youll need the d40 bit more as you are carrying the extra so it can put more strain on them hence mine sqeaks more but good luck and no these pram seats are not rare i have 2 looking to sell 1 tho
good luck

I bought one for a Silver cross pram via mumsnet last year, from someone getting rid of her whole pram (I just needed the seat). You could try posting a wanted note on the buy/sell part of the website

Silver Cross went into liquidation last year, so going via the company didn't help (not sure if someone bought the company eventually). I haven't used it yet as baby 2 due only tomorrow (help!). Am hoping it will work for nearly 3 year old, who is keen on walking and just needs a bit of help every now and then.
