Feel like I should change my name to furrylegs for this posting :)

I'm thinking of getting one of these things. Do they work? Are they torture? Are any better than the others?

Many thanks
Furry

I got one last week as I had tried wax strips and they were crap, didn't get all of the hairs and left a sticky residue. I bought \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0001D0LNW/qid=1149496280/sr=8-2/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i2_xgl/202-3453199-3499060\this one} It has an ice glove to although I didn't use it as I forgot to put it in the freezer. (Amazon have a £5 voucher offer at the moment too). It does hurt but I found it was bearable and easier if you watched TV or went on the pc at the same time to distract yourself. Underarms didn't actually hurt much at all!

The results are amazing, It's been about 5 days and I have no underarm hair at all! My legs are really smooth too. I'm really impressed with it, I used to shave in the shower and it's great not having to! Grin So, a big thumbs up from me!!

OMG! torture, but nothing to squeezing a baby out

schneebly · 05/06/2006 09:44

bloody sore!

My Mum swears by hers. First time is always the worst as you have the most hairs but it gets less uncomfortable with each use apparantly. (I am a big wuss who fainted when had legs waxed Blush so no personal comment)

I bought the Braun one at Christmas and think it is excellent. I don't use the cool pack and find it no more painful than waxing (actually think it does the bikini line much less painfully). I did use it for underarm hair but got a few sore ingrown hairs so have stopped. Hair regrowth seems much slower too!

Bubblerock looks good. How do I get to the £5 voucher?

Very tempted by this but also very wimpy!

They send you a code by email to use when you use amazon next time I got one when I bought my epilator and used it for some birthday presents last week - they haven't emailed me my new one yet, I think it's because I'm waiting on Simpsons series 5 to come from Jersey (bargain at £8.50!!!) They issue them when your order is dispatched. Last day today though - more details on the home page. Smile

I don't have an ice pack - I'm that 'ard

and I like mine very much. does sting a bit but you can always have a glass of wine first Smile - lots of body lotion for after

not torture tho

I got one for £19 which is the braun one and was on offer from £39 but have seen the same one in Boots for £29.It is a bit painful at first but you get used to it and it gets less painful.I don't mind it much but I've got a high pain threshold. My sister who is a wuss about most things cannot stand it she would rather have them waxed. It's a bit strange though,I'll tell you why,you think you've got all the hairs out and you double check but the next day you will find quite a few hairs that you've missed!!And you just can't understand how that can be.It's kind of weird, anyway once they have all gone it's hairfree for days brill.

Would you buy a second hand one on e bay? Am I the only one who wouldn't or am I fussy. I have been thinking about this for a while, but they are really expensive.I would hate to get one and be a wimp.
