Am looking at new bathroom suite - which is the better material for the bath? Acrylic or the steel ones?

acrylic is a lot lighter and I think easier to clean.Aren't most baths acrylic now anyway? Steel is haeavier but I suppose less likely to get scratched or chipped - HTH!

Steel is more durable adn acrylic does look cheaper as it gets scratched easier.I think steel baths hold the heat in too

Steel moves less and looks nicer and good quality. I just clean normally then wipe over with an e-cloth to remove any stray water marks. We only ended up with one by sheer chance but love it !

We are just about to buy a new bath. Plastic holds the heat in more but steel is stronger so better if you plan to use a overhead shower.
Dh wants to go for a steel bath but there is a lot less choice of styles esp as we've just found out that most baths wont fit.
