Paint for a cot - PLEASE!!

We are re-using DD's cot for our new baby, due in July.
However, DD was a bit of a cot-nibbler, so we need to freshen it up!!
Do we need to use special paint?
What kind?!
Has anyone else done this, and could they please advise!!!!

Anything marketed as "toy paint" should be safe.

Crayola paint ( in Focus, Homebase) is suitable for cots if that's any help
