thank god for the smoke alarm and dp paying attention

..the tumble drier has gon up in smoke..I vaguley heard teh alarm but ignored it as it was quite quiet..right out eh bak of the kitchen..

well to replace should we get a combined washer drier or another drier?

Very shocked that it ahould die by fire as it is 15 years old

just smoke but he reacted to the alarm .. I thought it was next door and it was just chance that he was here as had popped back from work..I suppose in fact once it's old you should be more rather tthan less careful

Don't get a washer drier. They're notorious for breaking, and they just make your clothes hot and wet. Get another drier. Please.
