We got ours (Britax) from Asda for £35. They're v reasonably priced in Asda & Tesco as they understand they're a necessity but you shoudn't have to pay the earth for them. They're all 'named' ones too

I also need a new car seat - want a high backed booster but pretty skint and live in middle of nowhere so would need to buy online and have delivered. Which ones in this category are good and not too expensive? (sorry to OP for crashing!}

Jackie you may not really have much of a choice- it really depends on what will fit your car. We only checked out Mothercare, but there was only 1 they stocked that we could heve. HTH

thank you for your replys i will try asda and tescos and see what they have got.

but i would also make sure they fitted my car properly too.

schneebly, if you mean a booster seat for over 15kg then Halfords have the Britax HiLiner and Maxi Cosi Rodi reduced \link{http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10151&storeId=10001&categoryId=31489&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=34002&top_category=34002&topCategoryID=&crumb=34002\online} and instore atm both of which were among the better ones of last years' Which ? survey.

I bought mine from Halfords online, checked it out in the local halfords first then ordered it online for half price £50.

Great thanks - LIZS, really good offer on the hi-liner, will probably go for that one!

LIZS · 31/05/2006 13:03

Be careful ! The one in store had a pink edging and stripe to it although they did have a grey/black one too !

Thanks for the warning - lol! I don't think DH would be pleased with DS travelling in a pink seat! Grin
