For one reason and another (don't ask!!) I'm desperate to find a pair of zebra patterned Docs. Does anyone know any websites I can go to? I've done boring searches in all the ususal places and all I get are the usual Docs - nothing customized. There must be someone out there who has the answer! TIA!!

Ebay of course!

Just had a look and they have loads (look here )but none in zebra right now. They will have soon though I bet.

No zebra stripes here but poppies and funny colours and a weird design bottom left!

i have a pair of DM that need customizing after my friend decided to sign their names with tipp-ex and nail varnish on the last day of school. which was 7years ago now.

I regularly see someone with a pair, so if I get a brave moment I'll ask them !

I had a pair of Docs that I customised for my wedding with white shoe polish! They looked fantastic until they stuck together!!
Anyway, someone has to ask - why do you want a pair of zebra patterned docs?

lydialemon · 04/02/2004 13:48

Always wanted a pair of deep purple velvet DMs myself - I'll have to keep an eye on ebay!

Can't you customise them yourself? I used to use hobby paints to customise leather jackets as a sad gothy teen, I'm sure it would work on boots too.

I got my new docs recently from Shoe-Shop.com and can thoroughly recommend them. Very quick and efficient service - not bad prices either.

Don't know if they have any zebra ones but you could phone them up and ask?

katierocket · 04/02/2004 13:52

have you thought of getting in touch with DMs HQ and asking.

Lara2 · 06/02/2004 20:24

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, will try them all out.

Rhubarb, it all started about 5 years ago with a fab fake fur zebra skirt from Dotty P's. Must add, that is my only item of zebra clothing!! Ended up wearing it to work and the kids thought it was great and ended up buying me zebra bags etc. So, I just decided that it was time for zebra Docs to add to the other countless pairs I already have. DH can't agree!

Twink, have you asked yet?? Pleease be brave!!

Lydialemon, what paints did you use? Bog standard acrylics? Have a pair of white Docs, so could just add the black. In my heart of hearts, I'd really love them to be furry though!
