Angelcare movement and sound monitor

Thinking about baby monitors for newborn - do we want one of these things that are supposed to sound an alarm if your baby stops breathing, or are they just exploiting our paranoia and a waste of money?

Had a normal sound only monitor for DS1 but borrowed an Angelcare for DS2. Actually, wasn't very impressed with it - we found that everytime DS2 moved to the furthest edge of his cot the thing would go off
