Unisex Christening Gown

I am considering this gown

Is this suitable for both genders? Would like something my to keep in the family for a few babies. I am not into the really log Victorian type look.

Another option is getting my first Holy Communion dress made into a gown but don't know how feasible this is (discoloured) and also if I have a little girl I think I would like to pass it on - for sentimental reasons. Was also given a wedding dress from someone special to me that I may get made into a gown.

Has anyone done this? Saw nice ideas on Pinterest.

It's very fussy and shiny. It doesn't look especially good quality to last a few babies. The ruffle at the neck remind me of a clown.

If I were looking for womething unisex, I would go for a lot plainer in a more natural material.

Thank you Kelda.. I think you are right. I saw one actually in Marks and Sparks Autograph range that is very classic and simple and not too long.

Oh I am so glad you are not cross at me for saying the outfit looked like a clown's outfit.

The M&S one is much better.

Ah no I am not cross.. I actually didn't notice the collar at first. The M&S one seems good quality.
