Skoda Fabia Combi

2 adults, 2 kids (assuming DC2 is just DC2 and not DCs2&3) aged 2 and from newborn.

Rarely doing trips of more than 4 hours (to see grandparents) - more likely to do big weekly shop and for trips out, max 1hr drive so want something that's relative economical on fuel but capable of holding a family's worth of luggage.

Any thoughts/experiences?

NomDeClavier, I think most people will know the Combi as the Estate, which is how it's marketed in the UK. Is this the car you are thinking of getting, or what you have at the moment? And could you give us an idea whether you want it for two children or three, as this could make quite a difference to the advice you get.

We're thinking of getting one as our current car (Clio) will probably be too small when DC2 arrives.
