Natural building sand for play pit?

I know you can't use the orange stuff as it stains clothes but would this be ok?

I think builder's sand has rounded grains and sharp sand has pointy grains?

Ah looking at the reviews, page 4 i think, b&q have commented that its not suitable for children or pets.

The pessimist in me thinks they would just put that so you will then buy their more expensive specific play sand?

I have heard you can use lots of different sands - kiln dried, silver, block paving, plasterer's etc.
