Question for techy MNetters about digital tv for my laptop

I'm thinking of getting either a \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000ALAWQ6/ref=ord_cart_shr/203-1049389-9706358?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE\Freecom} or a \link{http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000F8RPQE/ref=ord_cart_shr/203-1049389-9706358?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE\Hauppauge} digital thingy so that I can watch Freeview channels on my laptop.

The Freecom got a good review in the FT How To Spend it magazine, but on Amazon the reviews often mention that the build quality is bad (cables tending to fall apart etc). The Hauppauge is about the same price but doesn't have any reviews at all, however we have used Hauppauge on the main computer for normal terrestrial tv and found it easy and reliable.

Anyone have any experience of either?
