Hi, Looking for a new car seat for dd as she is now 20lb plus and overhanging her baby one.

....but i want one that can easily be moved from car to car?? rather than buying one for each car.

All the ones I have seen so far look really hard to install?? and once in look pretty permanent?

Does anyone have one which is very 'user friendly' and not too expensive????

Have to agree with Baba that the M&P protec is fab - VERY easy to move about and fix into any car. DS loves it as it is quite high up so he can see whats going on.

shazronnie · 22/05/2006 12:27

DON'T buy Britax Renaissance - it is a great car seat, but really heavy and a pain in the bum to move!

Laura032004 · 22/05/2006 13:03

If you've got Isofix, go for the Britax Isofix seat. You can swap them over in less than a minute, and feel very secure about the fitting. Expensive, but worth it.

WestCountryLass · 22/05/2006 20:33

I think you are best to take your car to Mothercare and see which one fits. I was going to get a Maxi Cosi one but then it did not fit and only one did, a Britax one that can go forward and rear facing.

lexiemum · 22/05/2006 20:41

have britax first class - sits rear and forward. its heavy but can be fitted very quickly from one car to other.

sandradee · 23/05/2006 20:27

My DS is 24lbs and 13 months. I did a search on Which? and the only one that came up as being the best overall - including safety was the Mamas and Papas Protec. It costs around £120. If you look on the web you can fond out info about it.

hulababy · 23/05/2006 20:29

Agree that if you have Isofix fittings in one or both of your cars, go for that. It is dead easy and very quick to fit and change between seats, as well as being very safe.
