Trollbeads - like a contemporary charm bracelet

Saw \link{http://www.fabletrading.co.uk/index.html\Trollbeads} in a jeweller's shop the other day, and loved them. Great idea - buy a chain for either bracelet or necklace, choose a clasp, then choose beads to put on, and add whenever you can afford to (or can persuade someone else to buy themGrin). Loads of different beads, and the name's fab tooGrin.

Ooooh, and modelled by Keira Knightley's scarier older sister, too!

Whizzz · 11/05/2006 21:21

Beautiful & want them all - but reminds me of trolls from here Grin

I'd quite like to have a troll on a bracelet. Does that make me weird? Like the coffee beans too, and loads of the others. Difficult to choose.

I want one, but with very particular beads.

Whizzz · 11/05/2006 22:32

Thanks for this - I hadn't seen them before & now I'm hooked ! It's just what to choose !!

Whizzz · 12/05/2006 17:27

JackieNo - what did they look like 'in real life'?? There are no suppliers near me & I wondered how well the detail can be seen. Its difficult to tell how big the beads are in the pics Smile

I think the best Mumsnet troll should be awarded one.. made by one of those arty people from the arty threads.. Grin

Hi Whizzz, sorry, didn't see this earlier. They vary a bit in size - the glass ones are bigger than the metal ones. I didn't get to take one off the stand, but 'fingered' them (oo-erWink), and they seemed relatively weighty, but not completely. You could see the detail really pretty well. Trying to remember size - somewhere between 5mm and 8mm diameter, I think for the metal ones (but am notoriously bad at measurements). HTH.

Thanks JackieNo ! I really like them & had never seen them before. Am looking to buy something 'meaningful & slightly hippy' Grin when I finish work & these are right up my street Grin
So far though my wish list = £160 Shock good job I'm getting a good pay off !!

I just wish there was somewhere near me where I could see them before buying

They look FAB. Am just about to email a link and big hint to DH for my 40th (yikes) birthday present.
