Try 'Sea Stirred' a really lovely new novel about growing up & childhood holidays. It was recommended to me on here and I didn't put it down, so evocative of summers past, I loved it!

How old are DCs?
Nick Lake In Darkness about aftermath of Haiti earthquake. On Carnegie list. Under £2 on kindle. Not for pre teen though.
