I'm getting DS to meet his American ancestors (my parents) and have been informed that I can not bring DS's buggy into the plane and... I am panicking!!! (have to exchange terminals during the trip two times both in a very little time, I'm travelling alone and DS weights more than 10k)

Does anybody of you has a wilkinet that I can buy or borrow (I'm on a very limited budget having spent most of my savings in getting the ticket) Thanks in advance

Yes, I did, and they told me that for 'security reasons' it was no longer allowed (I thought they were joking!), they let me get to the door in for departure but from there, it goes with the luggage.

Tell them you require special assistance at each airport then. This might translate as a wheelchair, but just sit in it with ds on your knee. Some airports will have a buggy waiting for you instead.

Oops, crossposted... I have tell them I will need asistance, however it wouldn't be the first time (nor the second) I miss a flight connection for lousy customer service. I would like to have the wilkinet as a back-up in case the help arrives late (I don't want to be stranded in a one room west airport in the middle of the night, it was not fun last time, don't want torepeat the experience with a tired baby...)

I wouldn't rely on assistant - we have a disabled dd and were told we had to carry her 30mins to the terminal because she's a baby.

Chandra, I've got one, when are you going?

Contact me on tissytoo at hotmail dot com. I'm quite busy today, so may not get back to you till this evening!

I've got one too. Been used for exactly the same purpose so I know what you're going through! Only trouble is that it does take a while to get the hang of doing it up yourself, so make sure you practice beforehand.

Go ahead and contact me - it's navy and I could post it out tomorrow morning.
