Currently using Head and ShouldersBlush, but would recommend Aveda, if you're willing to spend a little more (though it does last for ages).

Piffle · 05/05/2006 13:26

I just got some Aveda from the US, I know you can get it over here.
It's really really really very very very nice, my hair has a super shine and rarely needs any styling stuff now. Before it was like yours greasy roots, dry ends.
I am never one for shampoos really, don;t even rate Redken etc..
But Aveda is really worth it.

I am using Head & Shoulders too - the dry scalp one. My hair looks a lot shinier since using it.

trix1 · 05/05/2006 13:41

Aveda sounds good - where do you get that? boots!

why is Alberto Balsam always so cheap? is it rubbish?

beckybrastraps · 05/05/2006 13:43

I like the Aussie ones.

suzywong · 05/05/2006 13:44

I can't find them for love nor money here! ( I live in Australia) I used to love the mint one, what were they called again?

JackieNo · 05/05/2006 13:46

Boots do the \link{http://www.boots.com/shop/product_list_new_template.jsp?classificationid=1025729\Aussie ones} suzywong.
Think QVC sell Aveda (but can't see anything on their website atm), but I get mine from my hairdresser. Couldn't find them on Boots' website. Sorry.

beckybrastraps · 05/05/2006 13:48

Don't use a mint one. Use one for coloured hair. Not sure what it's called. It's fab. And so is their conditioner. Can't get them in Australia! Knew it was just a marketing thing!!

suzywong · 05/05/2006 13:49

nope, I'm thinking of something else then

Do you realise I haven' t thought about Boots for 21 months now as there is no point tormenting myself, but of course now I have to browse and weep

tamum · 05/05/2006 13:53

Aveda is available from most department stores IME. There are loads of places here that sell it.

JackieNo · 05/05/2006 13:54

SorrySad
Is it the \link{http://www.boots.com/guidedsearch/newsearch.jsp?searchArea=1&searchTerm=original+source&uri=%2Fguidedsearch%2Fnewsearch.jsp&classificationId=&contentId=null&articleId=null&N=0&Ntk=all&Nty=1&Go.x=49&Go.y=9\Original Source} stuff you were thinking of (although no shampooo there)?

suzywong · 05/05/2006 14:06

OH blimey I shouldn't have done that, I may have to persuade someone to be my No7 mule

Piffle · 05/05/2006 14:07

ebay for aveda :)

suzywong · 05/05/2006 14:07

yes those are the ones

Millie1 · 05/05/2006 14:14

Have also used Aveda in the past - hairdresser commented on what good condition my hair was in. Has anyone used Bumble & Bumble .. I keep reading reviews in magazine?

birdsnest · 05/05/2006 15:05

You can get aveda in House of Fraser. They do little travel size ones too.

Bumblelion · 05/05/2006 15:10

I use L'Oreal Professional (Vitamino color) from the hairdressers. The shampoo is £6.95 and the condition is £8.95 but it lasts me the 10 weeks until I go to the hairdressers again, but then my hair is fairly long and (heavily) highlighted and I find that if I buy over the counter shampoos and conditioners the condition of my hair deteriorates.

Saying that, my DD (aged 13 and hormonal), therefore greasy hair uses herbal essences (blue one) for greasy hair and dry ends. She will not use anything else.
