He was putting the pole that goes across the inside roof through and it jutted out suddenly and ripped a hole through the roof bit. Shock

How on earth are we going to fix it? I noticed there's four or five squuares of the different fabrics but it doesn't mention using them to fix it???? HELP!

I've repaired a small rip in a tent using a patch and rubber glue (the stuff you get in cycle repair kits). Then I used a waterproofing spray all over the area.

Was only a small tear though, not sure how successful it would be on a larger one.

I fixed a large rip in our old tent, it was near the ground rather than the roof, but a high stress bit and I was very doubtful that the repair would hold or work - the tent lasted for years after. I just googled, and found \link{http://www.ehow.com/how_118020_fix-torn-tent.html\this} which coincidently is very similar to what I did (though I didn't glue the patches just the seams).

Our new Vango tent came with a small repair kit, which worried me slightly. But you could contact Vango direct and see if they could help.

omg! that'll teach you to let your dh anywhere near the tent - ham fisted! Grin
