We had one - donated by a friend so we didn't pay for it - DS1 never liked it much but DS2 spent a lot of time wobbling around in it. They take up a lot of space though.

Oddly enough, not used much at the recommended age, but each of them has used it more as they've got older, even the 4 yr old, when brought out as novelty.
They do take up masses of space though. Both mine were bored in them as babies.

We have one of these sitting in our garage, dd used to like it quite a bit but once grown out of they just gather dust. So if you are near Surrey area & fancy seeing if it isn't too musty you'd be welcome to it.

mez75 · 19/01/2004 20:35

Wouldn't have been without it, Ds loved it too!

charliecat · 19/01/2004 20:39

Thought mine was great once she could sit up but not crawl, would get one second hand though as they dont last that long, just till they crawl really

Gem13 · 19/01/2004 21:38

DS didn't use it much at all - he looked a bit stranded when he was very small (and cried) and then bored when he was a bit older.

My must-have was the Fisher Price sparkling symphony. That kept his interest for months.

Like Droile's children, our ds spent not a lot of time in it as a baby but is still using it as a "pirate coracle" at 4.5. Came in to the sitting room tonight to find dd, 5.5 months, desperately pushing off backwards in an attempt to escape from it. I still like the idea of it IYSWIM, and the hanging cloth toys that came with the baby gym part (bird, ladybird, sun) have been adored by both children.

I'm back & have replied. Tuesday is my one night out so I'm later on here than usual.
You're welcome to it...
