I'm thinking of buying a second-hand Phil & Ted's from E-bay. Can anybody help me with extra questions to ask the seller before I put a bid in? What items commonly go wrong on them? Thanks :)

I have one and really nothing's gone wrong with it at all over the course of nearly 2 years! They have a foam handlebar; I suppose if that was in bad condition for any reason it would be deeply irritating, given you'd be touching ripped foam all the time. Also if you're buying a double one, ask about the condition of the parcel tray. In 2 toddler mode the feet of the child behind will be in that tray...

Thanks for that wanderingstar :)

The most common problem on the older E3's is the zip that connects the footwell to the parcel tray rips. Ours did this so we just ordered a new parcel tray from the P+T UK suppliers (Out and About), it cost £30 ish. The footwell and parcel tray have now been redesigned and there is no zip, so this won't happen on the newer ones.
I have heard that some people had problems with the back of the main seat becoming trapped in the folding mechanism, so it might be worth checking out the back of the main seat for small rips.
Also agree with wanderingstar about the foam handlebar.

Hey Laura - I have a Phil & Teds E3 version 2 and would like to sell it. I've had it for about 18 months and I used it quite a bit to begin with but I can count the number of times it's been used this year on one hand so it is in a really good condition. Especially cos BA managed to rip a tiny bit of the seat fabric so I got them to pay for an entire new seat unit which I have never installed. So whoever I sell it to would get both the current seat unit and the new one. Also got the raincover too.

I love it ... would keep it but DD now insists on walking everywhere and baby # 2 is due in August so I think I'll go for a singleton buggy instead.

DH reckons I'll never get around to posting it on ebay (probably right) so if you're interested, let me know.
