Need a lightweight pushchair for newborn ds2 but not sure which to go for? Has anyone got any ideas or seen any bargains?

maclaren techno xt is your best bet

Lmccrean · 30/04/2006 16:49

oh..I have a techno xt and was a nightmare to fold up ..the clip doesnt clip round easily (was supposed to be able to fold it with one hand) and the hood broke in no time at all..then gave up and bought a sling! maybe that only happens rarely, but aarrrggghhh, it was annoying!

a friend has another maclaren one though..something like city lite? its red, extremely light weight and folded very very easily (I was carrying 2 2 month old twins in slings while folding it up!)

maclaren techo. dont have one, as didnt use a stroller till dd3 was 6months old. but they seem very popular.

I had a techno, very good, didn't have any problems with it
Folding it with the footmuff on isn't all that easy but I rarely folded mine

Kiddicare is the place to get them cheap

I bought a micralite fastfold with the carrycot for newborns. Best thing I ever bought - is incredibly light and easy to fold and baby loves it. The carrycot is so easy to take on and off and then the chassis is a doddle to fold with one hand. I bought mine brand new on eBay for half the price in the shops.
