We want to go to the zoo on Sunday, but no trains (grhhhhh) so have decided the time has come to bugger the enviroment and buy a car (a big car)!

What car do you think is best? Enviroment, space, cost etc? (although dh really wants a lotus elise!)

i'd got for a multipla. the zafira is ok, but with 6 or all 7 seats up you have no boot space.

the only thing that i am not sure about with the multipla is the extra 6th seat is in the front.

LeahE · 28/04/2006 22:37

I'd like a Fiat Multipla. Wanted one last time but DH made big puppy-dog eyes at me and I gave in. It's not an attractive car to look at IMO, but the visibility is FANTASTIC and it's lovely to drive.

misdee · 28/04/2006 22:38

dh is saying 'i am not getting a multipla' but if (big if) dd2 qualifies for mobility then i will be test driving one.

espace. 4 kids 2 adults 1 wheelchair 1 double pram, still plenty of room.

cazzybabs · 28/04/2006 23:04

DH "likes" the espace too! But I read some reviwes about it needing lots of work!

Shall also look into the multipla.

I liked the cysalla (sp)(but then I don't worry about the cost!).

mumo75 · 29/04/2006 10:52

vw caravelle 7-8 seats excellent i can fit a double buggy in boot without folding it up and in 3rd row of seats 3 adults can sit comfortably with plenty of leg room ( i have had 8 footballers in it no problem)

cazzybabs · 29/04/2006 10:55

YEs - I read Hub2Dee';s car post but we don't want an estate (well not the car type anyway!).

Shall look into the VW one - who needs car magazines with MN power!

We have 4 kids and a multipla. Love it although boot space is v.small. Our pushcahir fills it. We'll get a roofbox before we go away.
