My dd is 17 wks old & I have started her on baby rice. I am using the bouncer cradle but I have to sit on the floor next to it. I have a very bad back so its to difficult to sit her on my lap and I am in so much pain after.I would like to buy the the mamas&papas prima pappa xl high chair,so I can sit on a chair or the sofa.I am not sure if this is right for her , as I need to recline it.

I have a cossatto one called the aurora' . My DD is 17 months old now and it has been excellent so far. It reclines (3/4 positions) and the seat can be height adjusted. The fabric is fully wipe clean . It's really nicely padded and practical too. The little basket underneath is handy for toys, bibs or wipes etc. I would certainly recommend it. I got mine in the sale when DD was 5 months old for £64.99. It is now £79.99 but I think that is still cheaper than the M&P one. The build quality seems excellent too.

I'd use a pillow to prop her up/pad her out and probably put her in a high chair by 18 weeks, Melsy. Don't know anything about the M&P one you're looking at, though.

I'd have been more than happy putting DD in the Aurora from around 16 weeks. The recline is great

I put dd in her prima pappa chair from 15 weeks, the recline seemed fine. I assume your not going to leave her in there for huge amounts of time so as long as she has reasonable strength in her neck and back it should be perfect.
