Personally I prefer matt

tassis · 24/04/2006 18:36

matt here too

(but then I don't think I know what silk paint is...)

Silk, you can wipe dirty finger prints off of silk.
Matt always looks dull.

Matt

matt.
Silk show up every flaw in the plaster and will drive you potty eventually.

matt coverage goes further than silk too.

Matt looks better but if like me you hate finger marks go for silk. All the heritage colours are flat matt - Farrow & Ball are lovely but not washable.
Silk is great for new homes as the walls are generally better.

Farrow and Ball wash fine. Have it in the bathroom and mucky finger prints wipe off very easily.

festiveface · 25/04/2006 13:27

the walls aren't that great, so matt it is then!

Good choice imho. Smile
I much prefer matt. Silk looks more sort of greasy when light reflects off it.
