Those long baby nightie things

Mothercare used to sell em - like extra long nighties with elasticated bottoms... DS look plain stupid in babygro with night nappy on because he needs the next size up, but his legs are so short there are flapping feet at the bottom!!!

I went to mothercare today but they don't seem to do them anymore. I've looked vertbaudet and toysrus... any ideas where else?

He is too young for pjs - I want his middle covered.

cut4cloth do them. Haven't seen them anywhere else I'm afraid but think there was a thread about them 2 or 3 weeks ago.

I bought mine from Mothercare about 6 months ago, surprised that they have stopped because they're great! The other ones I have are from John Lewis

harpsichordcarrier · 22/04/2006 20:35

petit bateau!
that's the place

I loved these. When ds was born i couldn't find them in any shops, so had to get my cousin in America to send some over.

Flamesparrow · 22/04/2006 20:45

I'm quite bitter about mothercare actually - they had em through the whole bloody pregnancy, now I know what colour I need, they stop selling them! Angry

Will go look at the other shops though - thankyou.

Flamesparrow · 22/04/2006 20:52

John Lewis.

Adams had them in the past year too.

And Boots too.

I have some GORGEOUS cotton ones that my great gran hand embroidered ducks onto the top of for my older brother (so worn by all 4 of us). Dh reckoned they were too girly for ds, but it wasn't him doing middle of the night nappy changes. Much easier than poppers and so cute.

Let us know if you find them, I think I'll buy some more for next baby as felt the need to hand wash our faimly heirloom ones (and like that's pactical!)

busybusybee · 22/04/2006 21:17

Flamesparrow - How old is your baby?
I have five for sale!!
Three from Green baby - cream with happy face logo £4 each
Two from Mothercare white with jungle animals embroidery £4 each

Let me know if you are interested
Or anyone else for that matter!

tassis · 22/04/2006 21:19

so they'd do either a boy or girl busybeebee?

what age/size are they for?

i could be tempted

(oooh, first baby purchase!)

Flamesparrow · 22/04/2006 21:38

Ooh ooh ooh!!! He's 8 weeks... I'm interested in the mothercare ones if possible please Grin Just ordered a cut4cloth one (should have waited!!!), so that would make 3 which should do us - he's not particularly sicky so often wears sleepsuits 2 nights.

Flamesparrow - The mothercare ones are 3-6 months. But if they are a little big on the arms just roll them up! They have one tiger, giraffe, lion and zebra walking across the front with "Were all off to bed..... goodnight" underneath

Very cute :)
£4 each plus a pound postage - How does a cheque for £9 sound???

busybusybee · 22/04/2006 21:49

Tassis
The Green baby ones are also 3-6 months, cream with embroidered happy face - only 2 years old so maybe green baby still sell this design.

£4 each plus a pound postage on top, so £13 for all three (I would prefer to sell all three at once cos it would be easier and Im lazy!!!!)

Let me know if you are interested :)

Flamesparrow · 23/04/2006 00:57

In case Busybusybee's sold all her nighties, Asda also do them! I saw some in there this week and was desperately trying to think who I could buy them for. Grin
