Help needed with a bit of Spanish Retail Therapy....

OK, going on a long kid-free weekend to Sapin tomorrow. Whilst I'm there and enjoying the luxury of wandering around shops/wine bars with out having to tell people to PUT THAT DOWN NOW!! (unless my DSis misbehaves of course) I thought I'd pick up some cheap espadrilles or the like for the summer. I've been googling like mad and can't find out what sizes I should be looking for. How about clothes sizes as well - DSs want tacky tourist t-shirts.

Help would be appreciated mucho gracias Grin

what size are you? For shoes I always have to buy a size bigger. In uk I am a 6 or a 40 in Spain i am a 41. kids clothes are donre in years but I usually get dd a year bigger as the cut is different you also see them in cms. How old are you kids?

I'm an 8 but I'm OK 'cos I'll just try them on, DD is an 8.5/9 (at the other end of course Grin) DS1 is a big 5 and DS2 is a 13.

None of mine are particulary chunky but they are tall, so I'll go by the height then? I buy stuff from Vertbaudet so I know French sizes are small agewise so I'll treat Spanish ones the same. DS1 is only 8, but he's 137cm so I have to buy him 12 year old stuff from there!

Spanish kids sizes are definetley small, so the bigger the better I would say.

Where are you going?

Somewhere called Mijas Costa near Malaga (sister's friends exMIL's villa Smile)

It'll be my first time in Spain, so I'm quite excited.
