Laminator advice please!!

I have had a couple of bad experiences with laminators - 2 have spontaneously combusted on me (well sort of.. the second time there was smoke! Shock) I paid more for the second than the first (about £35 rather than £20 which the first one cost) thinking I would get what I paid for.

I admit to quite heavy home use (although nothing like the amount of use it would get in a work environment I imagine but perhaps they have 'industrial' ones?) because I have been known to laminate WHOLE Noddy mags etc for DS who has SN... but I am sure they should last for more than a few weeks!!

So now I want to purchase another and was wondering if you could advise me on the best one to get so that it actually survives life in my house?

Thanks.. and please hurry (:)) because I need to order one this morning! Have stuff that needs urgent lamination! (Is that a word?!)

Please someone? I know it's boring.. but I don't want to throw money at a crap one again and I need to laminate DS's rectal diazepam instructions for his ruck sack(s)!

sleepy jess - sorry can't recommend anything BUT i wondered if you went to somewhere like Staples and nabbed someone who may know what they are talking about or even over the phone - they may be able to advise you on one for your needs. I just have a cheapy from the equivalent of woolworths that I bought here in Aus and so far I have not managed to blow it up ( record for me!)

hope someone else who knows more comes along to help.

Mine was from Argos ages ago and hasn't yet shown signs of spontaneous combustion. :)
