Does anyone have one of those fridges with drawers?

Our fridge is on its last legs and i was thinking of getting a new one fairly soon. John Lewis have a new style Bosch fridge with drawers rather than shelves. Does any one have one? If so what do you think of it? Is it easy to use/ clean? We have several other Bosch appliances which are fantastic, but wondered if this was a bit of a gimmick.

I would recommend fridges woth glass shelves rather than racks ,in any case

Tissy, I haven't seen the new fridge so it may be different, but the salad drawers in my Bosch fridge are terribly flimsy - one of them has cracked right down the front. I also have a Bosch freezer and they're just as bad - I rang them about replacing a freezer drawer and it was going to be about £30 so I've just mended it with gaffer tape. Our old (very old) Bosch freezer had plastic-coated wire baskets and they were still fine after about 18 years.

Agree with coddy about glass shelves too. HTH

We recently got the Bosch drawer fridge because our kitchen is so small we had to maximise every bit of space. The capacity is incredible, I didn't manage to fill it over Christmas and we had a housefull. There's room for loads of stuff (particulary milk and wine - the most important drinks in our house.) My only slight problem is that bits can gather in the corners of the drawers and they can be a bit awkward to get out (not that I make massive efforts to keep it sparkling.) I would throughly recommend it...particularly if you're short of storage space.
