Can I lend/share Kindle books with my DD?

We both have shiney new Kindles - I wish to share some with her. Can I?

You can only share books if both Kindles are registered to the same Amazon account.

Would love to know how as think answer is no as books are registered to an account . So you have to be logged in under that account (and can't have two accounts on a kindle). Say this as dh and I have wondered about this.

you would have to register both kindles to your account in order to get the books on both. There is no other (legal) ways to share the books

But you can have several kindles on one account. I have one (well i did, but it's died), dh has one, mil has one, ds1 had one that died but now has a new paperwhite. All on same account, so we can share books.

I think you do it my going into archived items and then sending it to the other one.

although on checking it seems lending to others can only be done in the US not the UK

Oh dear - I know I shared one with my dad a few years ago - I wonder what we did - I hope it wasn't illegal
