Where to buy children's clothes online?

I have been having a look online for children's clothes for 4yo DD. Not having much luck though.

I am looking for summer stuff for our holiday in June. Particularly looking for cropped/capri trousers sets, nice tops (not starry ones though) and nice shorts. But not wanting anything that expensive as they could get wet, dirty and a bit worn whilst away.

DD is very girly and pink generally has to appear if she can get away with it!

Looked at Boden and Vertbaudet, but nothing very inspiring on any of them TBH.

Anywhere you can suggest I have a look?

Or do I need to go into town?

M&S
Monsoon
Next
Debenhams?

hulababy · 13/04/2006 21:48

I love Monsoon, but not willing to pay those prices for DD to wreck them in Florida! LOL!

Looking like a trip to town or Meadowhall isn't it?

Have you tried some of the supermarkets I get ds's holiday clothes from them. TU at sainsbusy's has fab stuff.

hulababy · 13/04/2006 21:51

Thanks for all the suggestions. Will go and look.

Yes, often go into george at Asda. Looks like "real" shopping is going to have to happen. I am just being lazy!

hula I nipped to Meadowhall in my lunch hour today and it was horrendously busy.

hulababy · 13/04/2006 21:56

Thanks; will look. Gymboree sizing is small in't it IIRR?

OP posts:
cupcakes · 13/04/2006 21:59

It is small. I always buy 1 year up. Especially as it would be the biggest pain ever to return or exchange.

hulababy · 13/04/2006 22:02

DD measures 103cm. Now according to their website this is age 4 still (to 106cm infact). Hmmm.... Some really sweet stuff on there :)

If you can spare the time...buy in florida!
It will be much, much cheaper!

cupcakes · 13/04/2006 22:14

The last thing I bought was from \link{http://www.janieandjack.com/shop/asst_department.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=750991&bmUID=1144962677011\Janie and Jack} (their sister company who use the same sizing). Dd is 3 and 96cm so comes well into that age range of up to 99cm. However, she has an age 3 dress which is so short she can now only wear it over jeans. I really don't get their sizing.

cupcakes · 13/04/2006 22:15

God, I hadn't realised you were going to the US. I'd wait and buy there!

hulababy · 13/04/2006 22:20

I just said that to DH - can we go with bare minimum and buy it over there on first day or two? Not sure if DD would be too impressed having to go shopping rather than a theme park though. Definitely making a trip shopping at some point.

I tend to buy a lot of things for my dd off ebay. You can get brand new bundles of clothes, including monsoon, next etc... You can also get individual items very cheaply.

hulababy · 13/04/2006 22:25

I am now on ebay looking at the Gymboree and Monsoon stuff :) For holidays and nursery especially I am definitely happy to go for e-bay :)
