Best small playpens

We live in an already "compact" apartment but deseraptely need a playpen for my 15 month old. He's getting into EVERYTHING so I can't turn my back for a second, I need to wash the dishes and maybe go to the toilet alone. So need a safe place to put him, but it needs to be compact for our compact living space.

We can see this thread is quite old now so some of the suggestions may be out of date, but if you’ve landed here looking for recommendations, we’ve recently updated our best playpen page with plenty of great options tried and tested by parents on the Mumsnet forums, including ones ideal for a small space. We hope you find it useful. Flowers

I used a travel cot as a playpen which did the trick and was much smaller than a traditional playpen. Although at 15 months, he may be able to escape!
