I could of course just check the back to see - but its not really something I thought about until this morning when I ran out of de-icer. It is of course cheaper to buy a massive bottle of screenwash if indeed its the same stuff...

No!!! It isn't!

It's not the same, but pouring a bit on the windscreen will probably help you scrape the ice off the windscreen - it won't freeze as quickly as water.
