Thanks to everyone who offered advice about which stroller to buy, i went for a mamas and papas mamu pushchair which argos very nicely have on special at £45, £25 off the RRP!! and having inspected it and the mamas and papas pulse there was very little difference, and its also very like the more expensive maclarens, its just lacking a pouch in the hood.

LIZS · 10/04/2006 15:32

backbreaking mroe like, lol. They are so cumbersome !

pooka · 10/04/2006 15:39

What about this for a new travel system. Available from this month. Looks odd.

lazycow · 10/04/2006 16:21

We have a car seat on wheels - bought it on the web when in the US. - \link{http://www.tripleplayproducts.com\this one}

Have used it instead of a pushchair for every journey since. No need to worry about car seats in taxis or at destinations.

Cons
Not really great as a pushchair for whole days out (no rain cover etc ) but OK for short trips

That is about it really

lazycow · 10/04/2006 16:22

oops \link{http://www.triplayproducts.com\this}

MrsBadger · 10/04/2006 16:37

lazycow that's cool!

Have seen the orbit before, but am not really a fan of travel systems where carseat is the only option for tinies - would rather have a lay-flat bit. Looks funky though!

pooka · 10/04/2006 17:03

Have to say that that was my first thought Mrs B. Do love a good carrycot. :)

SHHHH · 10/04/2006 19:28

I can't see what lazycow has got Sad.....link won't work....

The orbit does look funky but I am not keen on the whole look of it tbh. Looks a bit odd imo....The distance from mum to baby is quite big esp for a newborn iykwim...

I agree about travel systems BUT otoh they are good when travelling abroard and you need a pram and car seat. We bought the m&p series o3 pram for our hols last year as our car seat fitted it and it looked ideal for hols but must admit that it is quite heavyish esp as I now use it as a shopping pram. Thats why I am wanting the Mutsy Grin....(ANY EXCUSE EH!!! [WINK].)

Keep trying to convince dh that I am not the only mum with more than one pram..!! Ktazg are you the one on your 10th ..???

LIZS · 10/04/2006 20:20

just seen the Orbit in Junior and it will be over £500 for infant seat and chassis plus future add-ons of a seat and a double. Shock

MamaG · 10/04/2006 20:48

well I like mine... (flounces off)

Piffle · 10/04/2006 20:58

I'm hankering after a ziko Alfie for dd who is in last stages of pramdom, but her head has ougrown the hood height on the zapp....

peaches27 · 18/04/2006 22:14

Dont forget to buy the one that has the most ridiculous name ... yeah I know I posted this before. Is it just me?

I remember when they had sensible names like Dreamer, Wayfarer etc. Now if you can spell it and pronounce it its just not good enough.
