My DH bought this at the duty free last week (I was not with him) he tried it on and thought it was a lovely aftershave. He took it out the bag to show me when he arrived home and I said it says "for women" on the box to which he said "errm, errm, errm, surprise!", I tried it on and thought it was very manly (apologies to anyone who wears it, it's just not for me) and told him off for buying me perfume. Slightly later I confessed that I didn't really like it (in fact it was giving me a headache) to which DH confessed he had actually bought it for himself thinking it was aftershave.

My question is does anyone know whether this is a unisex fragrance or whether the women's version smells too differently to the men's? DH still likes the smell on him but is worried that anyone who knows perfume will reaslise that he is wearing a women's fragrance.

Shameless bump. Would any of you perfume buffs spot a guy wearing this?

The red hugo is for women. Is it in a red bottle which is tapered at the neck? Then yes it is for women.
I wear it, and dh has worn a hugo aftershave too, which is in a ball shape bottle.

Yes, that's the one in the red bottle, I see it's definately not unisex. This is just typical of my DH, the man can't be trusted with even the simplest of shopping tasks! Grin

It does say it's for women, but I doubt if anyone would sniff and say accusingly "that's a women's fragrance!"

Smells are different on different people and if he likes it, that's fine Smile

I'm going to make him wear it whether he likes it or not, he won't tell me how much it cost but I reckon too much to throw in the bin.

Try these for men\link{http://www.nextag.com/hugo-boss-after-shave/search-html\more hugo}

Bless him! I personally dont think the fragrance is overly 'feminine'.

\link{http://www.fragrancex.com/products/_cid_cologne-am-lid_B-am-pid_787M__products.html\In Motion} is nice, for future reference!

mumfor1standfinaltime · 08/04/2006 23:47

Been searching for that JanH! That is what dh wears, its so nice.

MrsSpoon · 08/04/2006 23:48

I'll keep In Motion in mind and maybe treat him one day.
