I am thinking of painting our yet to be built conservatory and what a bit of advice.

It will go onto our kitchen which currently is BRIGHT BRIGHT blue with cream shaker units, black grantite worktops and stainless steel range. We are looking at \link{http://www.cotswoldco.com/product_info.php?dpi=C050&product=SEARCH&cele=1&SH=DADBDADDDADADDDGGEGFGBDDDFDFDFDBCNDFGBDBGFCNDEDEDIDBCNGCGGGEDJCNGDGEDHDBDDGEDCGCGBDJGEDJDADADADBDCDADADADHGNGBGMGBGCGBHCDADADADEDADADADADADADADBDFDADADADBDADADADADADADADADADADADADBDADADADADHGNGBGMGBGCGBHCDADADADBDB\sofa} here, with chocolate cushions, limestoney tiled floor, and it is brown wood (to match other wood in house).

So I want a colour that will look great with the brown, and then perhaps paint the same in teh kitchen.

What I need to know is how good Farrow & Ball paints are, and are they durable? Also ha anyone used Blue Ground? \link{http://www.farrow-ball.com/main.php?terr=uk\here} Looks nicer on paint chart, a sort of chalky but rich aqua/sky blue.

Also what do you think of teh combo??

I used to think of Enid as a cool wafting free spirit imbibing the wastelands of whatever godforsaken county she now lives in with some style and panache

Now I think of her as Hyacinth Bucket

Phew . . . . . .

In my defence - have looked at their website, and there are no stockists for F&B in Mid Glamorgan (where I live), one I've never heard of in S. Glamorgan, and only two in Newport, (which I've also never heard of!!!)

You lot crease me up. I think I am going to go the F&B route as it is the only lightish blue that actually looks 'warm' IYKWIM. Our kitchen/dining room is v dark, no direct sunlight except early morning, so a lot of blues look cold and waterey. From he paint chart the F&B one looks bright (at all times of day) but soft, and not greyish that a lot of the F&B paints look.

DH and I have a THING about colour and need strong bright colours, we don't DO creams

I think however I will be pulling a couple of strings, since I work in magazines!!

But how resistant is F&B to little greasy hand prints. I wanted to do F&B when we decorated the first time round but my decorator disuaded me saying that Dulux trade was much better paint. However my walls now all look terrible (largely thanks to the DD's) and I need to know how wipe resistant is F&B and should I go for it this time. Does F&B mark really easily.
