Jane Powertwin - advice needed

Are there any mums out there who can recommend the Jane Powertwin double buggy. I need to buy a new double buggy which is easy to manoevre up and down kerbs, through doors and not too heavy. My husband is obsessed with this pram and thinks this is the one we should buy. I quite like the look of the "Out n about Nipper" which is the highest rated double buggy on Mumsnet reviews - although he reckons it's too wide and I'll get fed up folding it down all the time as it's too wide to fit through our internal doors. What are other mums using and what do they think?

I haven't got the powertwin, but I have a Jane powertrack which I have been very happy with. It's been on beaches, lots of rough terrain and stood the test of time. The only thing I would check out is how much weight they can take as when I really load it up with lots of shopping the brakes can rub on the wheels. My friends have twins with a powertwin which they seem to like. I know lots of people have phill and Teds just a thought.

Thanks Jzee....that's food for thought certainly - I quite often do shopping when out and about with pram. I like the Phil and Teds but my feeling is it's only really suitable for a small baby - I think older children would be fed up in the back with a poor view.

I've got a Maclaren Rally Twin. It's a side-by-side but it fits through most doorways as it's quite narrow. Have 2yo DS1 and 11wo DS2 in it happily. It's really light, folds up small - I like it.

Thanks hunkermunker...will have a look at it.

Has anyone seen that 'buggy pod' thingy thats a seat that clips on to a buggy or pram. It folds up when not in use. www.buggypod.com
