ergo classic baby carrier - is it any different to a framed carrier?

i need/want a carrier before friday but i hate the framed ones, i find them very uncomfortable. would this be any better? theres a shop about an hours drive away but i dont really have time to get there this week, so i would have to order it to be posted which means i cant try it first.

any advice welcome!

I have an ergo and it is wonderful, the new model is called the ergo new generation the classic is the old model, the ergo is a wonderful carrier and I could carry my ds for hours in it - only carrier that did not hurt my back.
