My ds loves playing with the labels on toys and clothes.
I've heard you can get toys which are made out of labels or have lots of labels attached.

Anyone know where from?

They're called taggies.
Waterstones sell the soft books which have the labels going around it and I'm sure I've seen them in mothercare too.

DD still loves her crib blankets because of her labels!

how funny - DS1 ritually has to touch his PJ label before putting them on at night! (He will be 6 this year - hope he grows out of it soon!)

Nbg and JackieNo - thanks for the links, the caterpillar and dog are gorgeous. Ds will be in seventh Heaven! Will never need to buy him another toy again. :o

Dont want to come over all anthea turner, but I've just made a taggie blanket for db to be. Must b a rush of nesting instinct with 3 weeks to go. I just cut loads of different coloured and textured labels out of things and used loops of ribbons I had lying around and stiched them between 2 squares of cloth, he'd better like it now. My dd would have loved one but I'm too tight to pay for a branded taggie one. Also, noticed this week a couple of people have started making them and selling them on ebay for a few quid.

sanchpanch · 02/04/2006 17:36

my dd is like this, she has muslim cloths with nice label on and i have made various ones for her,
sometimnes if she cant find one she goes to her sisters knicker draw and gets a pair out and finds the label, - not good for going out though

I even bought her a cuddly frog in Ikea because it had a big label on,

jmum6 · 02/04/2006 20:13

Ikea's toys are great because the tags are soooo long.
Ds likes to rub them against his face - silly child!

We bought a big Taggie for Christmas for DGD and she hasnt really bothered with it. It was expensive and I am now starting to think it wasnt worth it. We just use it as a blanket for when she is in the car seat.

SHHHH · 17/04/2006 18:25

I bought dd a taggie blanket and book and she loves em..But like hockeymum says, make your own!! Friends mum recently said she made her own for her gs. A blanket and loads of tags from clothes, towels etc.

Yorkiegirl · 17/04/2006 18:26

I bought a personalised taggie from a WAHM. Cheaper than the ones in the shop and much nicer.
